Sky Hop is an endless vertical climber starring a small orange ball with big eyes. You never press jump. The ball bounces by itself whenever it lands on a platform, and you steer it left and right to keep finding the next foothold. The view only scrolls upward, so a missed landing usually means a long fall and the end of the run. Sky Hop is part of Frank Force’s open-source LittleJS Arcade.
How to Play Sky Hop
Press Play and the ball starts bouncing on a safe platform at the bottom. Steer toward the platforms above you. The ball builds speed gradually and keeps drifting for a moment after you let go, so small, early moves work best. The play column wraps around, so leaving one side brings you in on the other.
Your score is ten times the greatest height you have reached, shown at the top of the screen. The first stretch uses only solid green platforms. Brown platforms that crumble after one bounce start appearing a little higher, then blue ones that slide sideways. As you climb, these tricky platforms become more common. Springs pop up along the way and launch you much higher than a normal hop.
If the ball drops below the bottom of the view, the run ends and a Game Over box shows your score. Your best score is saved, along with two medals you can earn.

Tips and Strategies
- Ease off before you land. The ball keeps sliding after you release a direction, so let go a little early to stop over the platform.
- Use the wrap. If the next platform is close to the far wall, crossing through the near wall is often the shorter trip.
- Never stall on brown. A brown platform drops away after one bounce, so already be steering toward your next landing when you touch it.
- Time blue platforms. Sliding platforms move at a steady pace and reverse at the walls, so aim for where they will be when you come down.
- Grab springs when you can. One spring bounce covers far more height than several normal hops and adds points quickly.
Features
- Two medals: ride a spring, and reach a score of 1,000. Both stay unlocked in your browser.
- Rising challenge: moving and crumbling platforms grow more common the higher you go.
- Reachable gaps: the height between platforms is always less than a normal bounce can cover.
- Options menu: adjust the volume, switch screen shake off or reset your best score.
