River Strike is a compact vertical shooter where your jet flies nonstop up a long, winding river. Red boats drift across the water, dark green blocks jut out from the banks, and yellow fuel depots float in the stream. You steer, shoot and manage your speed, but the real pressure is the fuel gauge, which never stops dropping. River Strike comes from Frank Force’s LittleJS Arcade and uses simple flat shapes, so the action is easy to read at a glance.
How to Play River Strike
The jet moves forward on its own. Steer left and right to stay over the water, because touching a riverbank ends the run at once. Holding up speeds you up, holding down slows you down, and letting go brings you back to cruising speed.
Three kinds of objects appear ahead. Boats slide from bank to bank and are worth 50 points when shot. Obstacles stick out from the shore and are worth 25. Running into either one crashes the jet. Fuel depots are safe to fly through. Each one tops up your tank by almost half and adds 100 points.
The fuel bar sits at the top of the screen under your score. If it runs out, the run ends with an “out of fuel” message. A crash or an empty tank both freeze the screen until you restart with Enter or the fire button.

Tips to Fly Farther
- Hold fire on straight stretches. Your gun repeats quickly, so a steady stream clears boats before they drift into your path.
- Slow down for tight bends. Lower speed gives you more time to line up with narrow parts of the river.
- Plan routes through depots. When the bar dips below half, steer toward the next yellow bar instead of shooting it.
- Watch the boats’ direction. Each boat moves sideways and turns back at the bank, so aim where it will be.
- Use bursts of speed only when you have fuel to spare. Faster flight scores no extra points per object and drains the tank sooner.
