Emoji Horde is an arena survival game where waves of emoji monsters close in from every side. You never press a fire button. Your weapons attack on their own, and you focus on walking, dodging and scooping up the gems that enemies drop. Each run lasts fifteen minutes, then a stage boss shows up. Built by Frank Force with the LittleJS engine, it mixes quick runs with a shop that makes every later attempt a bit stronger.
How to Play Emoji Horde
Pick a hero, then a stage. Smiley starts with Dagger Slash, Wizard with Fireball, Cat with Fish Orbit and Bot with Chain Lightning. A fifth hero, the lifesteal Vamp, unlocks once you last ten minutes in any run.
Defeated enemies sometimes drop blue gems. Collect enough and you level up. The game pauses and offers three random picks: a new weapon, a new passive, or a level for something you own. You can hold up to five weapons and five passives, and each one tops out at level 5. Coins let you reroll the offers or banish one for the rest of the run. Skipping instead gives you a bit of extra XP.
Bosses arrive on a schedule, starting with a Giant Bat at 3:00. When the clock reaches 15:00, the stage’s final boss appears, such as the Reaper in the Meadow. Defeat it to win and unlock the next stage. If your health bar empties first, the run ends.

Tips for Longer Runs
- Keep circling. Enemies walk straight at you, so a wide loop pulls the crowd into a line your weapons can thin out.
- Plan your evolution pairs. Before taking a random passive, check which one your main weapon needs, such as Sneaker for Fireball or Stopwatch for Chain Lightning.
- Save chests for the right moment. A chest only evolves a weapon that is already at level 5 with its partner passive. Otherwise it hands out three random upgrades.
- Break crates and barrels. Touching them spills coins, healing food, and sometimes a clover with a short random buff.
- Respect glowing enemies. Red ones move fast, gold ones soak up damage and purple ones hit hard, but all three give extra XP.
- Spend coins in the shop. Permanent boosts like Vigor and Magnetism make the first few minutes of a new run much safer.
Features
- Five stages: Meadow, Graveyard, Beach, Frozen and Volcano, each with its own enemy mix and final boss.
- Nine base weapons that can each evolve into a stronger form.
- Curse mode after your first win, which makes enemies tougher in exchange for more XP and coins.
- Saved progress for coins, unlocks, shop upgrades and your best time.
