Copyright Policy

We respect the work of game creators. Every game on Strongdog XP is published under an open-source license that allows others to host it. We check the code license and the license of the art, sound and music before a game goes live, and we keep each author's credits and license file.

What we host

  • Games whose source code is public under a recognized open-source license.
  • Art, sound and music under an open license such as CC0, CC BY or CC BY-SA, or the same license as the code.
  • Original, descriptive game names that do not use other companies' trademarks.

We do not host games taken from commercial game portals, publishers or old web-game archives.

How to report a problem

If you believe a game or file on this site uses your work without permission, or breaks the terms of its license, email contact@strongdog-xp.com with:

  1. The page address of the game or file on our site.
  2. A description of your work and proof that you own it or act for the owner.
  3. What you would like us to do, such as remove the game or fix the credits.
  4. Your contact details.

What happens next

We review every report promptly. While we look into it, we may take the game offline. If the report is valid, we remove the content or correct the credits and let you know. If we believe the content is properly licensed, we explain why and share the license details we relied on.
