Andromeda Invaders is a retro shooter by Susam Pal where orange ships hover over your planet and drop boulders on you. You steer a small green laser cannon along the ground, and it fires on its own. Your job is to break up the boulders before they land on you and wear down each ship until it disappears. Everything, even the blocky score text, is drawn from tiny squares on a canvas, and the music is a looping set of chords that speeds up as the levels climb.
How to Play Andromeda Invaders
Move left or right to line up your shot. The cannon sends up one laser pulse at a time, and a new pulse launches as soon as the last one hits something or leaves the screen. So you aim by moving, not by pressing a fire key.
Each ship has three health steps shown by color: bright orange, dark orange, then dark red. Hits on a ship pay 10, 20 and 30 points, and a boulder pays 1. A damaged ship heals one step after it drops ten more boulders, so finish it quickly.
Level 1 has three ships, level 2 has six, and every level after that has ten. Ships and boulders get faster as you go. The whole fleet also sinks a little at a time, and it sinks faster when only a few ships remain. If the lowest ship reaches the ground, it swerves toward you and the run ends at once.

Tips and Strategies
- Clear the lowest ship first. It is the one that will reach the ground soonest, and a ground-level ship ends your run instantly.
- Finish what you start. A wounded ship repairs itself over time, and its last hit is worth the most points.
- Shoot boulders that are right above you. A boulder in your path costs a health step, while blasting it earns a point and frees your next pulse.
- Don’t waste pulses on empty sky. Only one pulse flies at a time, so a miss leaves you unable to defend for a moment.
- Bank points to heal. Taking no hits for 100 points restores one health step, so play safe after a bad hit.
Features
- Endless levels: difficulty rises through level 20, and the count loops back to 1 after level 1000 while your score keeps adding up.
- Run timer: the top right corner shows how long your current run has lasted.
- Generated sound: music and hit effects are built from sine-wave chords, and you can mute them with M.
- On-screen buttons: five large buttons let you move, pause, restart and mute with a mouse or finger.
- Self-playing demo: leave the game idle for five seconds and the computer plays a round for you.
