Mini Grand Prix is a top-down open-wheel racer built around a full race weekend. You pick a circuit on a spinning globe, choose one of six fictional teams, and then set a single qualifying lap. That time decides your grid slot for a three-lap race against the other five teams. Tyre wear, shifting weather, a battery boost and a required pit stop turn each race into a chain of small decisions.
How to Play Mini Grand Prix
Start on the home screen. Pick a circuit from the season list of 24 venues or click one on the globe, then press Grand Prix Weekend. The setup screen lets you choose your team, AI difficulty, weather and starting tyre.
Qualifying is you alone on track for one timed lap. Next comes the race, where the field lines up by qualifying pace. Wait for the five red lights to go out before you touch the gas.
The interval tower on the right lists every car and its gap. Running wide costs speed: kerbs cap you at 90 percent, runoff at 80 and gravel at 70. Contact you cause, passing under a yellow flag and repeated off-track moments all add time penalties.
To pit, press P and follow the PIT IN line. Speed is limited in the lane. Stop at your box and press 1 to 5 to choose Soft, Medium, Hard, Intermediate or Wet tyres. Finishing positions pay 25, 18, 15, 12, 10 and 8 points.

Race Strategy Tips
- Read the forecast banner. Messages like “Rain in about 47s” give you time to plan a switch to Intermediates or Wets.
- Brake with D, not S. S only works in the pit lane. On track, D is your real brake and it builds pressure gradually.
- Charge the battery under braking. Moderate braking recovers the most energy. Locking the wheels or racing in the wet recovers less.
- Save the boost for a straight. Space empties the whole battery at once. A full charge gives five seconds of extra push, and half a charge gives half that.
- Mind tyre fade. Top speed drops a little every lap, and Softs fade fastest. Hards last longer at a lower peak.
- Try a different car. The Garage offers four car types, from a low-drag build to a high-downforce car that brakes and turns harder.
Features
- Two modes: a Grand Prix Weekend with qualifying and race, or a solo Time Trial with a lap count you choose.
- Dynamic weather: rain can arrive mid-race and change which tyre is fastest.
- Garage tuning: spread a performance budget across acceleration, top speed, braking, steering and energy recovery.
- Saved career: points, season standings, unlockable color schemes and best laps stay in your browser.
- Two languages: switch the menus between English and Chinese.
