Free Throw Frenzy is a one-minute basketball shooting game. You stand at a spot on the left side of a dark gym, and a hoop with a backboard hangs on the right. Your job is to score as many points as you can before the clock runs out. The catch is that the hoop does not stay still. It drifts side to side, and the drift gets wider and quicker as the minute goes on. Frank Force made the game with the LittleJS engine.
How to Play Free Throw Frenzy
Press Play and the 60-second clock starts at once. Press on the ball and drag in the direction you want to throw. The farther you drag, the harder the throw. A dotted arc shows the first part of the flight path, but it stops short of the hoop, so the last stretch is up to your judgement. Let go to shoot. A very short drag cancels the throw.
A new ball rolls onto the spot after each shot, so you can fire again while the last one is still in the air. Plain baskets score 2, and swishes score 3. Three makes in a row put you on fire, which adds a point to every basket until you miss.
When time runs out, a buzzer sounds. Shots already in flight can still count. A results menu then shows your score and your best, with options to play again or go back to the title.

Tips and Strategies
- Shoot high arcs. A steep, lofted shot drops into the rim more cleanly than a flat line drive, which tends to clank off the front.
- Lead the hoop. Aim where the rim will be when the ball arrives, not where it is when you let go.
- Use the early seconds. The hoop moves slowly at the start, so that is the best time to build a streak and get on fire.
- Keep a steady drag length. Once you find a power that reaches the rim, repeat it and only adjust the angle.
- Shoot quickly when on fire. Each basket is worth an extra point during a streak, so keep the ball moving instead of waiting for a perfect look.
